The Button
Right now, somewhere, there are scientists working
on the ultimate weapon. With the push of a button, or whatever, they can instantly kill everybody who is our enemy,
all at once, and nobody else. There would be no fallout, no nasty biological or chemical residue, no destruction of
infrastructure. Our enemies would simply be gone... forever, without having a chance to retaliate. And the instant
those intrepid scientists figure out how to make that button, they’re going to push it. After all, if we’re
working on it, we have to assume that our enemies are, too. And if we’ve got it figured out, then they can’t
be far behind. And you know our enemies will not hesitate to use it once they figure it out. Therefore, we can’t
hesitate, either. Not even for a second. With that thought in mind, would you really want to stop them from developing such a thing? And if you tried,
would you be considered an enemy, too? Have a nice day! ☺
