This is a bit like saying you did a “360” in your thinking, which has come to mean seeing things in a completely new way.  A “360,” however, is a complete circle, so if you do a “360,” you’re back exactly where you started from.  You haven’t changed a thing.  Being “head over heels” is supposed to mean that your world has been turned upside down, usually by love.  However, isn’t having your head over your heels the general order of things?
