yclept:  (verb)  (pronounced:  e-clept)  to call; to name.  Once the phantom was yclept, she was a lot easier to ignore.

yester:  (noun)  of or relating to yesterday, or the past in general, often combined with other words, such as “day” or “love.”  It was yesternight when we saw the meteor.

yob:  (noun)  ruffian; thug; lout.  We got robbed by the yob.

yokel:  (noun)  bumpkin; hayseed; an uneducated person from the sticks.  That feller might be a yokel, but he sure can yodel.
