533 Full Moons, More or Less

HolyGrail2.jpg

The Holy Grail Press is dedicated to promoting work that standard publishers... you know, those with standards, might be reluctant to publish, which pretty much leaves poetry.  And let's face it:  No one publishes poetry.  So in the end, we’re left with a lot of free time.

 Grand Opening!

The Holy Grail Press is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its Regional Headquarters in Portland, Oregon.  It’s not that we particularly need to have an office in Portland, it just seemed like the best way to get Michael Soetaert out of our Main Office here in Seattle.  Even being in charge of a major publishing company’s regional headquarters, Soetaert apparently still has nothing better to do than play disc golf.

Dinner at Chez Rupert

Good evening.  My name is Ruben, and I will be your Water Steward this evening.  Tonight we are featuring locally purified organic water, gently poured into a hand cut crystal that is kept precisely at 72 degrees.  Each ice cube is then added one at a time, to prevent shocking the water, giving you the perfect ice water experience.  It is a bargain at twenty-four dollars a glass.  And for an after dinner treat, might I suggest saving room for our internationally famous Aqua Brûlée?  While you are deciding, might I introduce Carlos, our Crouton Chef.

Rutherford B. Hayes
Presidents Day is just around the corner, and since apparently nobody in the United States’ know’s how to use an apostrophe, it means’ we get to choose which president to celebrate, and this’ year, here at HGP, weve chosen Rutherford B. Haye's!

Rutherford Birchard Hayes (no relation to Isaac) was born in 1822 in Ohio, the state he called home until he died there of a heart attack in 1893. (Rutherford B. Hayes, 2006)  In between he was a lawyer, a congressman, the governor of Ohio, and the 19th president of the United States (that’s the United States of America, not Mexico).

Stop me if any of this sounds familiar...

Remember the Rabbit

Bobby Boxwood had begged his mother for a rabbit.  The magazine advertisement that sold the rabbit and the cage said that you could go into business for yourself.  Breeding rabbits.  It was possible to make $200 a month.  A veritable fortune.
