Is There Really a Saint Hubbins?

In the movie This is Spin̈al Tap, the musician David St. Hubbins comments during the interviews at the end of the movie that there really was a St. Hubbins, who was the Patron Saint of Quality Footwear.  (Reiner)  So the question is:  Was there really a St. Hubbins?  After all, there are a lot of saints who are patrons of a lot of things.  So I looked it up.  More...
