In setting an all-time record, Classic Automotive Restoration Southwest sold at auction a 1996 Dodge
Minivan for just over 14 million RADs (Readjusted American Dollars), easily surpassing the previous record of 12.9 million
RADs set the year before for a classic 2006 Ford Taurus. Said car enthusiast Efrem Rapport, "It was a beautiful
vehicle, perfectly restored, all the way down to the cup holders." The minivan was purchased by Doyle Codwaller,
from Rapid City, South Dakota, who turned it into a chicken coop. Said Mr. Codwaller, "I don't see what all the
fuss is about. I mean, 14 million RADs isn't that much money, anyway, and the chickens needed some place to stay.
I don't imagine the chickens will have much use for the cup holders, though. But you never can tell."
